CY25 Quality Improvement Programs

 

We are excited to announce enrollment for our CY 2025 quality improvement programs is now open! We will be offering the below Mini-Series Programs. If you are interested in registering for a quality program, please contact Christina Yousif, cyousif@chla.usc.edu .

MINI-SERIES
As a Mini-Series team member, you will participate in a series of educational web-based learning collaboratives. Upon completion of the mini-series program requirements, you will be eligible to receive MOC Part 2 and CME credits. 

NEWBORN VISITS

​Anticipated Start date: February 2025

Topics:

  • ​Newborn Genetic Screening

  • Cardiology - Heart Murmurs and Congenital Heart Disease

  • GI - Billirubin Management 

  • GI - Nutrition

  • Orthopedics - Clavicle Fractures, Brachial Plexus Injuries 

  • Orthopedics - Metatarsus Adductus, Clubfoot, Hip Dysplasia

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION 

Participants will take part in a series of web-based, educational sessions led by faculty from the CHLA Divisions of:

  • Medical Genetics

  • Heart Institute

  • GastroenterologyHepatology and Nutrition

  • Jackie and Gene Autry Orthopedic Center

Expand your capacity to identify, treat, and manage common newborn conditions in primary care pediatrics.​

SEIZURES​

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION 

Participants will take part in a series of web-based, educational sessions led by faulty from the Neurological Institute at CHLA.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Expand your capacity to identify, treat and manage common neurological conditions in primary care pediatrics. Use clinical pathways to manage common neurological conditions within  primary care, as well as implement referral guidelines for specific conditions.

EAR, NOSE, AND THROAT (ENT)​

​Anticipated Start date: August 2025

Topics:

  • ​Snoring, Airway Issues, and Tonsillectomy

  • Acute Otitis Media and Tubing

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION 

Participants will take part in a series of web-based, educational sessions led by faculty from the Division of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at CHLA.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Expand your capacity to identify, treat, and manage common otolaryngological conditions in primary care pediatrics.

SEIZURES

​Anticipated Start date: October 2025

Topics:

  • ​Approach to New Onset Seizures 

  • Management of Spells

  • Management of Epilepsy
