Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
A staff member will answer your call and pass your contact information to one of our GI specialists. You will receive a call back within an hour.
ORTHOPAEDIC AND SPORTS MEDICINE WARM LINE
In an effort to facilitate communication and streamline access for CHLA Care Network pediatricians and their patients, the Care Network Team in partnership with the Children's Orthopaedic Center have developed a direct line for Care Network physicians.

Please note that this service is exclusively available to CHLA Care Network pediatricians ONLY.
Orthopaedics is launching a pilot program for Saturday clinics for the duration of summer. The clinics will be staffed every Saturday with 1-2 providers and will include the full complement of services, including radiology and casting. The Children's Orthopaedics Center can provide direct access and has committed to prioritizing Health Network referrals. Please see information below for details:

Date Range: May 30th to Aug 29th
Clinic Time: 8am to Noon
Providers: Dr. Abousamra (every day), Dr. Goldstein, Dr. Bent, Dr. Lightdale (monthly)
NEUROLOGY WARM LINE
Providers: Neurology Physician of the Day (POD) / Specified Physician
8AM – 5PM, Monday-Friday excluding Holidays
Call back hours: Same business day (end of day) if calls received before 3PM. Calls received after 3PM will receive a call-back next business day

UROLOGY WARM LINE
Have a Urology clinical question? Talk to a specialist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles through our Urology Doctor of the Day pilot service – exclusively for CHLA Care Network pediatricians.
8AM – 5PM, Monday-Friday excluding Holidays
A staff member will answer your call and pass your contact information to one of our Urology specialists. You will receive a call back by the end of the day if your call is received before 3 PM. Calls received after 3 PM will receive a call back on the next business day.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH MD WARM LINE
The Care Network in collaboration with the Division of Psychiatry at CHLA, now offers advice on psychiatric issues and medication management via a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) consult. The Care Network and the Division of Psychiatry at CHLA have been working together to give our providers direct access to Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to help improve decision making within your clinical teams and ultimately enhance patient care outcomes.

If the Triage Administrator is not available to answer the phone, the Pediatrician shall leave a voicemail for the triage administrator, who shall return the Pediatrician’s call the same business day or the next business day, if the voicemail was received after 3:30 PM (PT).
If a consultation is requested, the Triage Administrator will schedule the consultation with a CHLA Psychiatrist on the same day or next business day, depending on when the call was received. A CHLA Psychiatrist will be available between 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM (PT), Monday through Friday to return the Pediatrician’s call.
AMBULATORY CARE ACCESS
The Provider Relations’ Physician Liaisons are available to assist with any patient referral issues. Below is their contact information and the territories they oversee. Also enclosed in this letter is the main referral phone number along with a list of phone numbers for our outpatient clinics.
